Refelections on Women's Empowerment

Hello everyone. It?s been a while but I?m getting on the ball. I wanted to take the time out this week to do a small review of the 13th annual Women?s Empowerment Expo. I heard that it was definitely a great place to be this year. With the awesome speakers, performers, vendors, and seminars, there was never a dull moment. Women?s Empowerment has grown to be an event that moves women into the direction of success and has helped women to overcome anything they may believe is impossible for them to achieve. It has, no doubt, provided many women with the tools and resources to become the powerful and successful women they are. It was an overwhelming experience that transformed many women this year into strong, beautiful, ambitious individuals who have now begun to set examples for the many young women struggling to make something of themselves.
Natalie Cole one of the most phenomenal women of our time was the guest speaker, who everyone seemed to loved, spoke on her downfalls and triumphs experienced throughout her lifetime. She focused on providing ideas to women in order to improve their lives by building better relationships with other women. She also devoted a lot of attention to the area of overcoming the obstacle of choosing the wrong men. She called it the ?stupid gene?.
Musical artists that were included in the event were, of course, Natalie Cole, Joe, Robin Thicke, Hezekiah Walker, Joe, Unk, Jeff Majors, Martha Munizzi, Elisabeth Withers, and the Williams Brothers. Everyone enjoyed the variety in the music and wanted more. I haven?t heard a word of someone being displeased.
Women?s Empowerment was an overwhelming experience that transformed many women this year into strong, beautiful, ambitious individuals who have now begun to set examples for the many young women struggling to make something of themselves.
We should definitely continue to support Radio One and their efforts every year of bringing Women?s Empowerment to us. Radio One brings opportunity and support to all of its listeners and I think that not matter who we are, we should help build their audience for life.
